Resources
Marn has found the Krista Smash, Women's Weightlifting Links and Lessons helpful and instructive.
Dictation has found a metric conversion site that converts kilometers to miles (because the pedometers are all metric up here). I've also found Dr. Gabe Mirkin to be an invaluable resource for health, exercise and nutrition. He is a leading sports medicine specialist in the US, and at the age of 70, is a seasoned marathoner and cyclist. The guy looks 50. He sends out a free newsletter which has lots of useful tips for strength training and aerobic exercise.
Ms. Kittay made a tee-shirt for the group at Café Press. No obligation to get one, just wanted folks to know they're there.
Nacwolin used this Healthy Body Calculator when determining her fitness goals during her weight loss efforts. She is currently finding the Runner's World site a plethora of great info for anyone getting serious about running.
Rory logs all of her daily nutrition and the type/duration of her workouts at FitDay.Com. The site is extremely user friendly (and free.)
Jenn uses Calorie King to get a meal menu for the week as well as an excersise routine. The site even gives you a printable shopping list and lists all nutritional information! Another great support site is 3FatChicks. It is a forum board for weight loss and healthy living. The forums are great and so are the recipes!
If anyone else is interested in getting started in rowing, Paula says Row2K is the definite site for articles and links to clubs near you, resources, race results, and pretty much everything else about rowing.
